Guitar shops and record stores are in demand in Ireland, but some locals have concerns about whether they can be found in their areas.
It’s a sentiment echoed by music fans who are concerned about the accessibility of the music in their area.
In the last year, there have been some reports of record shops not being available in the area, as well as complaints about a lack of guitar repair shops.
There have also been reports of locals finding it hard to find a record store or guitar shop, with some claiming it’s difficult to get a job as a guitar repairman.
One area that has seen a lot of activity is the north-east of the country, with the local music scene taking centre stage.
The music scene in the north is in the midst of a renaissance, with bands like Utopia, Korn, Black Hole, and The Cure all releasing albums in the last couple of years.
“It’s very exciting, but there’s a lot to be done in the region,” said Mick O’Connell from the Irish Independent.
However, it’s not just the local musicians who are keen to see more businesses and places open in their neighbourhoods.
“The people in this area are passionate about music and want to see something special created and brought to life,” said Mr O’Connor.
What do you think about the availability of a record shop or a guitar store in your area?
